Our Wines
The Vineyard and Winery was established in 1969 by the Vuletich family.
Nestled alongside State Highway 1, three kilometres south of Whangarei. The name Longview Wine Estate
reflects the commanding view that the elevated clay slopes give over the Whangarei Harbour. Gumdiggers was named after our Dalmation Grandfather who worked the Northland Gumfields.
The site provides early ripening fruits of rich concentrated flavours.
Chardonnay Gewürztraminer
This wine is produced at Longview Estate winery, from a blend of Hawkes Bay Mendoza Chardonnay, Longview Estate Mendoza Chardonnay and Gisborne Gewürztraminer. Medium sweetness, fragrant and fruity made in easy drinking style. Delicious drinking now or over the next 2-3 years. Serve chilled. Enjoy.
Chardonnay
This Chardonnay was produced from grapes grown on the slopes of Longview Estate. Mouthfilling with ripe peach melon flavours. Matured for 5 months in French and Hungarian oak barriques. Enjoy now or will cellar for up to four years.
Gewürztraminer
This Gewürztraminer was produced from grapes grown exclusively at Longview Estate.
Aromatic, spicy varietal wine, Excellent with Asian and Indian dishes. Drinking now and the next two years.
White Diamond
This wine is made from White Diamond grapes grown exclusively at Longview Estate. A sweet, fragrant, fruity wine, with an intense grape flavour. Goes down well with cheese, desserts, Asian, Thai and Indian cuisine. Serve chilled. Best enjoyed within 2 years of the vintage.

Gumdiggers Cabernet Sauvignon
This wine was crafted from hand picked fruit grown on our estate vineyard. Matured for 18 months in French oak barrels. Full bodied, smooth and mouthfillingly rich on the palate, with spice and ripe berryfruit flavours. This wine is yummy and delicious. Enjoy now.
Syrah
This wine was crafted from specially selected hand picked fruit grown on our Estate and aged in predominantly French oak for 15 months.
Soft, rich, mouthfilling with spice and pepper flavours on the palate. No finings were used in this wine, creating a natural flavoured finish. Enjoy now or cellar for up to 4 years.

Estate-grown in Northland, and oak-aged for two years, this is a full-coloured red, sweet-fiuited, with ripe, plummy, spicy flavours, showing good complexity. It's a generous, well-rounded northern style, delicious now.

This wine is dedicated to commemorate the life of Mario’s mother Milly. Recognised for her pride, honesty, passion and hard work. The Malbec grapes were harvested and crushed at Longview Estate three days before Milly died, 24th March 2006, at the age of 86. The 14 year old grapevines produced intense high quality fruit. This wine was aged in French barriques for 2 years. The first 100% Malbec made at Longview Estate. This wine will cellar well. We are in love with this exceptional wine.
Gumdiggers Port
Made from fruit grown on the estate. A tawny port style. Has a rich full flavour of prunes and chocolate. We are famous for it.We suggest you have it with tasty cheeses dried fruits and chocolate. Enjoy with good friends.
